This policy explains what personal information inkeep collects, why, and the choices you have. inkeep is provided by Monopause Limited (RC 9573669), Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
Account information — your name, business name, phone number, email address, business address and password (stored scrambled, never readable).
Your business records — products, stock, sales, orders, customers, suppliers, expenses, staff and settings that you or your staff enter in the app. These belong to you; we store them so the app can sync between your devices and branches and show your reports and online store.
Your customers' details — names, phone numbers and addresses you record, or that customers give when they order from your online store. You are responsible for collecting these fairly; we process them only to provide inkeep to you.
Device information — the type of phone, app version and a device identifier, so we can keep devices in sync and let you sign out a lost phone.
Store visits — when someone visits an online store we count views using a one-way code made from their network address and browser. We do not store the raw network address for this.
Messages to us — what you send through our contact form, WhatsApp or email.
How we use it
- To run inkeep: sign you in, sync your records, show your reports, run your online store and send you in-app notifications.
- To support you and to help you set up when you ask.
- To keep inkeep secure, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To send service messages, and tips or updates if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
We do not sell personal information.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored on our servers and, for uploaded files such as product photos, on Cloudflare R2. Encrypted backups are kept separately, including with Oracle Cloud object storage. These providers may store data outside Nigeria; we only use providers with appropriate safeguards.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run inkeep (hosting, storage, backups, email and messaging), under contract and only for that purpose, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your records while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your business data within 7 days, except where we must keep some records by law. Backups containing it are overwritten as they expire (within about 12 months).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to some uses. Use Delete your account or contact us. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, staff PINs are stored as hashes, and backups are encrypted. Each staff login only sees the branch and records its permissions allow.
Children
inkeep is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.

We will post any changes here and tell you in the app about important ones.
